On Sunday, Dec 5th, the Ice Queens met the Edge at the Ice Zone for another 'friendly game'.

Joanne "Canada" Chamberlain set the tone with an assist as Stephanie “New comer” Newman scored the Queen's first goal. In the 2nd period, Beth "The Beast" Elfrink blasted a shot on goal and Janelle ”Shotzky“ Pierson buried the rebound to give the Queens a 2-0 lead. Heather "Pit Bull" Ramirez showed her dominance in the corners assisting on 2 goals.  Her 2nd assist led to Newman's 2nd goal and sealed the Queens 3-1 victory.

“New comer” Newman introduced herself to the Edge, earning a visit to the penalty box.  Not to be outdone, Sharon "The Goon" Schloss took the Edge to the ice.  She was given a 2 minute break for her efforts.  Pete "Potty-Mouth" Regan made her presence felt but somehow avoided the penalty box.  And Laura “Don’t Provoke Me“ Remming managed to escape without throwing any punches.

Debuting in their first Queens game, Michelle Wiedl and Laurie Gamble showed they weren't push-overs and that they will be a force to be reckoned with.

The Queen’s defense was strong and limited the Edge’s scoring opportunities. Tracy "Bad A**" Heimos was tough on defense and did a great job of keeping the puck in the Edge’s zone.  Dani "The Wrecking Ball " Darko showed she’s a double-threat.  She was solid on defense and her rocket of a shot had players diving for cover

This was a great TEAM EFFORT and awesome win.
