ICE QUEENS HOCKEY
We love to play hockey, have fun, make friends, and have some competition.
Mission:
To provide a program for ladies to play (or learn to play) ice hockey.
Team Overview
The Ice Queens started their program in the fall of 2005 with the intent of teaching hockey moms how to play hockey. It has quickly evolved to a larger group with various levels of interest in hockey. Our program today has three levels of play:
1. Ladies Learn to Play (LLTP) – This program is designed for new players with little or no hockey or skating experience. They practice every other week and work on basic skating skills, puck handling, passing and shooting.
2. Ice Queens – This program is designed for players who can skate and are familiar with the rules and positions of hockey. Ice Queens will split into two teams (Blue/White) and have friendly scrimmage games twice a month. The other two weeks of the month are practices.
3. Games & Tournaments – For Ice Queens that would like to play more often we schedule games with other teams and play in out of town tournaments.
